MIB Overhauls India Cine Hub: Single-Window System for Global Filmmakers

• The new system aims to provide a seamless, faceless, single-window clearance for filmmakers, integrating AI/ML for location suggestions.
• ICH will expand to include permissions for live events and unify all fees/charges through an automated escrow mechanism.
• States are urged to identify pre-approved filming locations with SOPs; a National Film Resource Directory will be established.
• Seven states and two union territories have integrated with ICH; central ministries like Railways and MoD are also streamlining permissions.
