Mid-Career Women Hiring Soars 32-35% Post-Pandemic: Adecco India Report
•Hiring of mid-career women professionals increased by 32-35% since the COVID-19 pandemic, driven by D&I initiatives and return-to-work programs, says Adecco India.
•Indian companies are launching structured programs to help experienced women re-enter the workforce, addressing mid-career attrition often due to caregiving responsibilities.
•Technology and IT services lead with a 41% rise in returnship hiring, followed by Global Capability Centres (GCCs) at 39% and Banking & Financial Services at 35%.
•Other sectors like Pharma, healthcare, life sciences (28%) and consumer goods, retail, manufacturing (24%) are also increasing returnship hiring.
•Major talent hubs like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Gurugram, and increasingly Tier-2 cities, offer opportunities for returning professionals.
