Five Arrested in Korba for Stealing 10-Tonne Steel Bridge
- •Five individuals have been arrested in Korba, Chhattisgarh, for the theft of a 10-tonne, 70-foot-long steel bridge.
- •The bridge, built over 40 years ago across the Hasdeo Left Canal in Dhodhipara, was stolen overnight by a group of 15.
- •The arrested suspects are Lochan Kevat, Jaysingh Rajput, Moti Prajapati, Sumit Sahu, and Keshavpuri Goswami, all from the CSEB police outpost area.
- •Ten other individuals, including alleged masterminds Mukesh Sahu and Aslam Khan, are still at large.
- •Police recovered approximately 7 tonnes of stolen steel and a vehicle used in the theft; a similar incident occurred in Bihar in 2022.
