8,710 Agri Cooperative Societies Formed, 27% Target Achieved: Shah

• Cooperation Minister Amit Shah announced 8,710 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) established in 2024-25 and 2025-26.
• This achievement represents 27% of the government's target of forming 32,752 PACS during the two-year period.
• Odisha led with 1,543 PACS, followed by Rajasthan (1,387), Uttar Pradesh (1,099), Madhya Pradesh (621), and Uttarakhand (621).
• PACS are now diversified beyond credit, undertaking over 25 business activities under new Model Bye-laws.
• They function as PMKSK, participate in seed production, operate Custom Hiring Centres, and offer over 300 e-services as Common Service Centres.
