Andhra Pradesh Sanctions ₹544 Crore for 2,000-Acre Port & Shipbuilding Cluster Land Acquisition
- •Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned over ₹500 crore for land acquisition for the Dugarajapatnam Green Field Port & Shipbuilding Cluster.
- •A total of 2,171 acres of land are required for the project, identified in Vakadu mandal (Tirupati district) and Kota mandal (Nellore district).
- •The administrative sanction is for ₹544.3 crore to acquire 2,170.7 acres, as per a government order by MT Krishna Babu.
- •The land comprises 1,932 acres of patta land and habitation, and 239 acres of government land.
- •Specific villages identified for acquisition include Pathetipalem, Vagarru, Valamedu, Pamanji in Tirupati district, and Kothapatnam, Puchalapalli in Nellore district.
