ED Probe Reaches Burj Khalifa in Rs 1,700 Crore Mahadev Betting App Case
•The Enforcement Directorate's investigation into the Mahadev app case now includes properties in Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
•Properties worth Rs 1,700 crore have been attached, including apartments in Dubai Hills Estate, Fairway Residency, Sidra, Business Bay, SLS Hotel & Residences, and a flat in Burj Khalifa.
•These properties are linked to Sourabh Chandrakar, a key promoter of the Mahadev Online Book betting platform, acquired from illegal betting proceeds.
•The Mahadev app case involves an alleged illegal betting platform routing thousands of crores through fake identities, shell companies, overseas call centres, and a hawala network.
•Promoters Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal controlled the operation from Dubai, with Uppal currently suspected to be in Vanuatu after fleeing.
