Bay of Bengal Low Pressure Weakens, Rain Alert for Several States from Feb 24

• Low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal weakens, expected to dissipate in 24 hours.
• Despite weakening, rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds expected in Odisha, Bengal, Jharkhand, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands until Feb 25.
• Thunderstorm and lightning activity forecast for Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Telangana, Kerala, and Interior Karnataka.
• Northwest India to see 2-3 degree Celsius temperature rise; dense fog in Punjab until Feb 24.
• Fresh Western Disturbance to bring light rain/snow to Western Himalayas from Feb 26-28; Delhi NCR to have clear skies, rising temperatures.
