• A low-pressure area has formed over the central parts of the eastern Equatorial Indian Ocean and the South Bay of Bengal, expected to strengthen by February 18, 2026.
• A Western Disturbance and a subtropical westerly jet stream are active, causing isolated rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
• Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh may experience rain and strong winds from February 16-18.
• Heavy rain is possible in southern Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe on February 21-22.
• Temperatures are expected to fluctuate across Northwest and Central India, with above-normal maximum temperatures in several regions.
