IMD Issues Orange Alert: Dense Fog, Cold Wave Grip Multiple States

• IMD issued an Orange Alert for dense to very dense fog in Delhi, UP, Haryana, MP, and other states on December 20.
• Fog conditions are expected to persist in Uttarakhand, Haryana, UP, MP, Bihar until December 21, and in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, UP on December 24-25.
• Cold wave conditions are predicted for Telangana, South Interior Karnataka (Dec 20-21), and West Madhya Pradesh (Dec 20).
• Severe cold wave is highly likely in North Interior Karnataka on December 20-21.
• Delhi will experience partly cloudy skies, dense fog in the morning, with max/min temperatures between 21-23°C / 7-9°C.
