Defence Minister Clears ₹2.38 Lakh Crore Deals, FY26 Approvals Hit ₹6.73 Lakh Crore
•Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved deals worth ₹2.38 lakh crore for logistics, air defence, and communication systems.
•Total defence approvals for the current financial year now stand at ₹6.73 lakh crore across 55 proposals.
•The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) cleared Air Defence Tracked System, Armoured Piercing Tank Ammunition, Dhanush Gun System, and more for the Indian Army.
•Approvals include indigenous Remotely Piloted Strike Aircraft, new medium transport aircraft, S-400 systems, and Su-30 jet engine upgrades for the Indian Air Force.
•Heavy Duty Air Cushion Vehicles were cleared for the Indian Coast Guard for patrolling, reconnaissance, and search and rescue.
