Defence Minister Clears ₹2.38 Lakh Crore Deals, FY26 Approvals Hit ₹6.73 Lakh Crore

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved deals worth ₹2.38 lakh crore for logistics, air defence, and communication systems.
• Total defence approvals for the current financial year now stand at ₹6.73 lakh crore across 55 proposals.
• The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) cleared Air Defence Tracked System, Armoured Piercing Tank Ammunition, Dhanush Gun System, and more for the Indian Army.
• Approvals include indigenous Remotely Piloted Strike Aircraft, new medium transport aircraft, S-400 systems, and Su-30 jet engine upgrades for the Indian Air Force.
• Heavy Duty Air Cushion Vehicles were cleared for the Indian Coast Guard for patrolling, reconnaissance, and search and rescue.
