•
India plans phased replacement of its 20-year-old IAF VIP aircraft fleet used by senior defence officials.

A formal Request for Information (RFI) has been issued to Indian and foreign aircraft manufacturers.
•
The existing fleet, comprising four Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft (Meghdoot, Vayudoot, Nabhdoot, Gagandoot), was inducted in 2005.
