Lokayukta Raids: Rs 1.70 Crore Seized From Friend of Karnataka Engineer

• Karnataka Lokayukta officials seized Rs 1.70 crore cash from a friend of senior engineer H M Janardhana.
• The seizure is part of disproportionate assets case against Janardhana, Superintendent Engineer in Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society.
• Janardhana is alleged to own a plot, three houses, 34 acres of agricultural land, and other valuables worth Rs 2.57 crore.
• Earlier raids at 29 locations across Karnataka uncovered assets worth Rs 23.76 crore from four government officers.
• Purushotham Das Hegade, Executive Engineer, PWD, was found with the largest wealth, estimated at Rs 11.29 crore.
