Monk Impersonator Busted: Maharashtra Man Looted Jain Temples, Bought Gold, Land

• Jeevan Singh, 60, from Pune, arrested for posing as a monk to burgle Jain temples across Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka.
• Arrest followed a year-long search and analysis of over 200 CCTV footages.
• Case emerged in February 2025 after 600-gram gold bar and 10-kg silver crown stolen from a Jain temple in Sowcarpet, Chennai.
• Singh used stolen funds to buy land in Lonikand and build houses for his family.
• Stolen gold and silver were allegedly sold to real estate businessman Raj Bahu Rathore.
