Indian Army's 'Border Brew Cafe' in Arunachal Pradesh goes viral
•
The Indian Army inaugurated the 'Border Brew Cafe' in Zemithang, Arunachal Pradesh, under Operation Sadbhavna to boost tourism and livelihoods.
•
The cafe is uniquely built on a decommissioned Bailey bridge over the Nyamjang Chu River, making it a first-of-its-kind concept in the Northeast.
•
Run by local Monpa tribal women, the project creates employment and offers visitors a glimpse into the region’s culture and hospitality.
•
Completed in 31 days, the cafe features large glass panels offering views of mountains and the river, with seating on the bridge or riverbank.
•
Located in Tawang district, the initiative aims to open up remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh to tourism and strengthen civil-military relations.
