•Rajendra Jadhav, who died of liver illness in February 2024, was falsely reported to have died in a Thar accident in April 2025.
•A doctor from Chalisgaon rural hospital and 4 police personnel from Mehunbare police station were involved in fabricating reports without a body.
•An insurance company investigation revealed the fraud, leading to the arrest of 9 suspects, including Aruna Jadhav and her brother-in-law Mithun Jadhav.
•The gang attempted to embezzle 7.5 crore rupees from various insurance companies; Jalgaon police are investigating further.
