Jalgaon: 7 Crore Insurance Scam Uncovered, Fake Accident Death Exposed
•A massive 7 crore rupees insurance fraud racket has been busted in Jalgaon, involving a fake accidental death claim.
•The conspiracy aimed to claim 50 lakh rupees from Shriram General Insurance Company by faking the death of Rajendra Shalinder Jadhav in a Thar accident on April 19, 2025.
•Investigation revealed Rajendra Jadhav actually died on February 23, 2024, from liver disease, and his death was not registered.
•The deceased's wife Aruna Jadhav, brother, a medical officer from Chalisgaon rural hospital, and 4 police personnel from Mehunbare police station were arrested.
•Rajendra Jadhav held policies worth 7 crore rupees from 11 companies, including Tata AIA, Birla Sun Life, PNB MetLife, and Kotak Mahindra, using fake addresses and identity proofs.
