Exide Industries Boosts EV Battery Arm with ₹450 Crore Investment, Total Crosses ₹4,800 Crore
•Exide Industries invested ₹450 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions Limited, via a rights subscription.
•This latest investment brings Exide Industries' total commitment to Exide Energy Solutions to over ₹4,800 crore.
•The funds will support Exide Energy Solutions in establishing a greenfield manufacturing facility in Bengaluru for lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs.
•Exide Energy Solutions, incorporated in March 2022, manufactures lithium-ion batteries for India's EV market and stationary applications.
•The subsidiary reported a turnover of ₹116.89 crore and a loss of ₹209.12 crore in FY25.
