GAIL, Chhattisgarh Partner for Massive Greenfield Fertiliser Unit

• GAIL and Chhattisgarh government signed an MoU on December 23 to explore a greenfield gas-based fertiliser project.
• GAIL will conduct techno-economic feasibility studies for a 12.7 lakh metric tonnes/annum urea plant.
• The proposed facility will be strategically located along GAIL’s Mumbai–Nagpur–Jharsuguda natural gas pipeline corridor.
• Chhattisgarh government will provide comprehensive support, including land, approvals, and infrastructure.
• The non-binding MoU was signed in the presence of CM Vishnu Deo Sai by Rajat Kumar and Rajeev Kumar Singhal.
