NTPC Unit Seals Green Ammonia Supply Deal with SECI for Clean Hydrogen Program

• NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NGEL) signed a green ammonia purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
• The pact involves supplying 70,000 metric tonnes per annum of green ammonia to Krishna Phoschem Limited.
• SECI will act as an intermediary procurer under India’s Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) scheme.
• This agreement reinforces NGEL’s commitment to India’s decarbonization goals and green hydrogen portfolio.
• NTPC has been active in green hydrogen, commissioning India's first green hydrogen blending project in 2023.
