Bajaj Electricals acquires Morphy Richards brand rights for ₹141 cr in India, neighbours

• Bajaj Electricals Ltd acquired the intellectual property and brand rights of Morphy Richards for India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Maldives.
• The acquisition cost is ₹141.4 crore, with a total cash outflow including taxes and GST at ₹197.47 crore.
• Payment will be made in three installments by March 31, 2028, in pound sterling; this terminates the previous license agreement with Glen Electric Limited.
• Bajaj Electricals aims for strategic flexibility, faster innovation, and accelerated growth across premium consumer segments.
• Morphy Richards, founded in the UK in 1936, has been managed by Bajaj Electricals under license in India since 2002.
