Cochin Shipyard Secures $360 Million Deal for Six LNG Vessels with CMA CGM
- •Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL) signed a formal contract with France-based CMA CGM for six 1,700 TEU LNG-fuelled feeder container vessels.
- •The deal is valued at approximately $360 million (around ₹3,267 crore), significantly boosting CSL's order book to ₹23,000 crore.
- •Each LNG-powered containership will have a capacity of 1,700 TEU and an estimated cost of $60 million.
- •The first vessel is scheduled for delivery in 36 months, with the last vessel within 64 months, categorizing this as a 'Mega order'.
