Latur-Mumbai in 4.5 Hours: ₹35,000 Cr Super Highway Announced

• Maharashtra announced the Latur-Kalyan Janakalyan Expressway, reducing Latur-Mumbai travel to 4.5 hours.
• The 442 km expressway is estimated to cost 35,000 crore rupees and will be implemented by MSRDC.
• The project aims to boost development in the Marathwada region and improve connectivity for Latur, Ahilyanagar, Pune, Nanded, and Mumbai.
• A revised route will connect directly to Panvel-JNPT via the Vadodara Expressway tunnel, bypassing Kalyan traffic.
• The new expressway will also reduce the Mumbai-Hyderabad distance from 717 km to 590 km.
