• Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced a new 130 km greenfield express highway linking Atal Setu, JNPT Chowk, and Pune-Shivajinagar Junction.
• This new express highway will connect to the existing Pune-Mumbai Expressway.
• Gadkari also announced Rs 50,000 crore worth of development projects for Pune district, including a Rs 4,207 crore four-level project for Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur.
• The Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur project will feature a road, two flyovers, and a metro line.
