Mumbai Cab Drivers Arrested for Overcharging Thailand Couple 3000 for 18Km Ride

Two cab drivers in Mumbai arrested for charging a Thailand couple Rs 3300 for an 18-kilometer ride that typically costs Rs 400.
•
The incident occurred on February 8 when fitness trainer Darshan Sawant and his wife Monica returned from Thailand.
•
The drivers, Imtiaz Ahmed and Riyasat Ali Khan, defrauded the couple by snatching 1,000 Thai Baht (Rs 3,300) instead of the agreed Rs 400 fare.
•
Sahara Police arrested both drivers and seized their taxis after the couple filed a complaint.
•
Action initiated with RTO to cancel their permits and driving licenses; police investigating previous similar incidents.
