Western Railway Boosts Capacity: 15-Coach Locals to Ease Crowds from Tomorrow

•Western Railway to introduce 15-coach local trains from tomorrow, March 19.
•16 existing 12-coach suburban local trains will be converted to 15 coaches.
•This move aims to reduce dense crowds and benefit daily commuters.
•Total services will increase from 211 to 227, with 8 additional peak-hour services.
•15-coach trains will extend up to Bandra, with platform extensions underway at Vile Parle, Santacruz, Khar Road, and Bandra.
