Counterfeit Currency Racket Busted in Krishna District; Rs 6 Lakh Fake Notes Seized

• Krishna district police busted a counterfeit currency gang, seizing fake notes worth Rs 6,02,400 and arresting four individuals.
• The racket was uncovered after a liquor store cashier in Sangamoodi, Kruthivennu Mandal, reported suspicious Rs 500 notes.
• Special teams traced the operation to Visakhapatnam, where the main accused, Thomandra Ranjith Singh, and Brahma Umashankar were printing notes.
• Ranjith Singh, who has prior counterfeit currency and ganja cases, used a rented house in Kokavanipalem, Pendurthi Mandal, Visakhapatnam, as a printing base.
• The accused circulated fake notes at festivals and rural events, using scanning, printing, lamination, and special chemicals to mimic genuine currency.
