Vijayawada to get 100 Electric Buses: Free Travel for Women, Pollution Control

• APSRTC introduces 100 electric buses in Vijayawada under PM eBus Seva Scheme for eco-friendly transport.
• Vidyadharapuram depot to be modernized with a 6,000 KV substation and 20 charging points for maintenance.
• Electric buses will replace old city buses, saving 7,000 liters of diesel daily and reducing air pollution.
• Pinnacle Mobility Solutions will operate buses; 250 drivers provided by them, 250 conductors by APSRTC.
• Women will receive free bus travel on these new electric buses, operating on 11 main city routes.
