Bihar-Jharkhand Resolve 53-Year Water Dispute, Indrapuri Reservoir Project Approved
- •Bihar and Jharkhand resolved a 53-year-old water-sharing dispute over the Sone River, clearing the way for the Indrapuri Reservoir project.
- •The Bihar Cabinet, led by CM Nitish Kumar, approved the project's resumption, ensuring irrigation for 8 districts including Bhojpur, Buxar, and Patna.
- •The agreement allocates 5.75 MAF of Sone River water to Bihar and 2 MAF to Jharkhand from the undivided Bihar's 7.75 MAF share.
