Cyber Crooks 'Digitally Arrest' Pusa University Employee, Loot 32 Lakhs

• Cybercriminals posed as judges and police on a video call, threatening a 'digital arrest' of Arun Kumar, a senior clerk at Pusa University.
• The victim was falsely accused of having a fake SIM card linked to serious crimes and was kept under continuous psychological pressure via video call.
• Under duress, the employee broke his fixed deposits and transferred approximately 32 lakh rupees via RTGS to the fraudsters' account.
• The fraud was uncovered when PNB branch manager Amit Gunjan questioned the large transaction, leading to a hold on the recipient ICICI Bank account in Navi Mumbai.
• A complaint has been filed at the Cyber Crime Police Station, and DSP Durgesh Deepak assured action, warning the public against such scams.
