Samastipur to Get 2 Mega Expressways: 117 Villages Transformed, Land Prices Soar

• Samastipur district in Bihar is set to receive two major expressways: Raxaul-Haldia and Patna-Purnia, transforming its identity beyond agriculture and railways.
• The Raxaul-Haldia Expressway will cover approximately 57 km in Samastipur, while the Patna-Purnia Expressway will span about 62 km.
• These expressways will connect 117 villages across blocks like Kalyanpur, Warisnagar, Khanpur, Ujiyarpar, Vibhutipur, Morwa, Sarairanjan, Rosra, Singhia, and Hasanpur.
• The projects are expected to significantly boost land prices, create new opportunities in industries, logistics, and small businesses, and generate employment.
• Survey and alignment work are complete; gazette notification is awaited, after which land acquisition will begin, as confirmed by District Land Acquisition Officer Praveen Kumar.
