Manufacturing Activity Hits 4-Month High in February, Boosts Economic Momentum

India's manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 56.9 in February, up from 55.4 in January.
•
This marks the strongest expansion since October, reversing softness seen towards the end of 2025.
•
Manufacturing activity offsets broader economic growth moderation, which eased to 7.8% in Oct-Dec quarter.
•
The manufacturing sector expanded 13.3% year-on-year in Q3, accelerating from 13.2% growth in the previous quarter.
•
Indian economy is expected to grow around 7.6% for the full year, with manufacturing strength extending into Q4.
