•These sarees feature unique, handmade Jharkhand local artistry, with no machine work involved.
•Sunita now earns a good income, sends her children to private schools, and sets up stalls at fairs nationwide, including Delhi, Kerala, and Jaipur.

बबीता कुमारी के उद्यमी बनने की शुरुआत 2018 में हुई. उन्होंने बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा द्वारा संचालित ग्रामीण स्वरोजगार प्रशिक्षण संस्थान (R-SETI) और ‘जीविका’ के माध्यम से अगरबत्ती निर्माण का 20-25 दिनों का कड़ा प्रशिक्षण लिया. प्रशिक्षण के बाद सबसे बड़ी चुनौती पूंजी की थी. बबीता बताती हैं कि जब उन्होंने काम शुरू करने की ठानी, तो पास में फूटी कौड़ी नहीं थी. पति राम विनय कुमार ने अपनी बचत से महज 600 रुपये दिए. इन्हीं पैसों से बबीता ने कच्चा माल खरीदा और शुरुआत में अपने हाथों से अगरबत्ती बनाना शुरू किया. दिन भर की मेहनत के बाद भी हाथ से काम करने में मुनाफा कम था, लेकिन बबीता ने हार नहीं मानी.
