Longest Sea Link to Cut Virar-South Mumbai Travel to 45 Mins

Maharashtra government approves DPR for Uttan-Virar Sea Link, set to be India's longest.

The 24.35 km 8-lane sea link will connect North Mumbai to South Mumbai, reducing travel time from over 2 hours to 45 minutes.

Project estimated to cost 58,754 crore rupees, jointly funded by Maharashtra government and MMRDA, with foreign loans.

The sea link will alleviate traffic congestion on major Mumbai roads and improve connectivity for Virar, Vasai, and Bhayandar residents.

It will also connect to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, boosting real estate, tourism, and industrial sectors.
