SEBI's B-30, Women Investor Incentive Framework Now Live
•SEBI's B-30 and women investor incentive framework came into effect on March 1, 2026, after a one-month deferment.
•The framework aims to boost mutual fund penetration in B-30 cities and among women investors.
•Distributors get an additional 1% commission on first lump-sum investments (capped at Rs 2,000) or SIPs (1% of first-year investments, capped at Rs 2,000) for new individual investors.
•Incentives are funded from AMC's investor education corpus and are subject to clawback provisions; payable once per PAN.
•The incentive is mandatory across most mutual fund schemes, excluding ETFs, domestic Fund of Funds (over 80% domestic AUM), and short-duration funds.
