Mau Junction Transforms: UP's Small Station Becomes Major Hub for Pan-India Connectivity
•Mau Junction in Uttar Pradesh is undergoing a significant redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, with an estimated cost of 52.65 crore rupees.
•The station is becoming a special hub, connecting to major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Jaipur, with trains heading north, south, and west.
•Improvements include modernized entry/exit points, better waiting halls, modern toilets, special seating, new signage, and increased platform length and height.
•New facilities feature granite flooring, shelters, a 12-meter wide overbridge, 2 lifts, and 4 escalators for enhanced passenger convenience.
•Currently, 44 Mail-Express and Passenger trains operate daily from Mau Junction, and future plans include increasing train numbers to accommodate growing passenger traffic.
