Nehru Place Gets High-Tech Parking for 660 Cars, Ends Parking Woes

• Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) at Nehru Place District Centre.
• The facility, developed by DDA under the UDF scheme, aims to alleviate severe parking crisis in Asia's largest IT hub.
• Features include earthquake-resistant construction, VDC flooring, automated ticketing, and digital displays for available spaces.
• It is EV-friendly with 9 charging points, dedicated slots for EVs and persons with disabilities, and green features like vertical gardens and rainwater harvesting.
• The complex is monitored 24x7 by 148 CCTV cameras, with a 'zero tolerance' policy against illegal parking now in effect.
