Delhi-Haryana Metro Expansion: CM Rekha Gupta Greenlights 47 KM Non-Stop Project
- •Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved the construction of three remaining corridors of Delhi Metro Phase-IV to ease traffic congestion and pollution.
- •The 47.225 km metro network, costing 14,630 crore rupees, aims for completion within the next four years.
- •The Rithala–Kundli Corridor (26.463 km) will connect Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and extend to Kundli in Haryana with 21 stations.
- •The Inderlok-Indraprastha Corridor (12.377 km) will serve Central and Old Delhi, connecting areas like New Delhi Railway Station with 10 stations.
- •The Lajpat Nagar-Saket G Block Corridor (8.385 km) will cover South Delhi's posh areas including Andrews Ganj, GK-1, Chirag Delhi, and Pushp Vihar.
Why It Matters: CM Rekha Gupta's approval for Delhi Metro Phase-IV will significantly reduce traffic and pollution in Delhi-NCR.
