Gujarat Cyber Crime busts Rs 39.41 Cr inter-state fraud racket; two arrested

Gujarat's CID (Crime) State Cyber Crime Cell unearthed a large inter-state cyber fraud racket, defrauding victims of over 39.41 crore rupees.
•
Two accused, Amit Gangera (38) and Ritesh Kumar Patel (42) from Ahmedabad's Vinzol, were arrested.
•
They were linked to 59 cybercrime complaints across various states, including Maharashtra (13), Karnataka (10), and Haryana (5).
•
The accused rented bank accounts of financially distressed businessmen to route fraud proceeds, making tracking difficult.
•
Fraud methods included digital arrest scams, investment/trading fraud, UPI fraud, training scams, and part-time job offers.
