Haryana Recovers ₹556 Crore Scam Funds in 24 Hours, CM Announces High-Level Probe
•Haryana government recovered ₹556 crore, including ₹22 crore interest, within 24 hours after a ₹590 crore scam involving IDFC First Bank and AU Small Bank branches came to light.
•Four individuals, including former branch manager Ribhav Rishi, have been arrested in connection with the scam.
•Chief Minister Nayab Saini announced a high-level committee, headed by the Finance Secretary, to investigate the matter and recommend future financial security measures.
•The scam was uncovered through internal 'flagging' (technical alert system) in the banking system, leading to bank's admission and suspension of employees.
