• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new terminal at Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport (LGBIA), now fully operational.
• The new terminal increases annual passenger capacity to 13.1 million, reinforcing Guwahati as a key aviation gateway to the Northeast.
• Designed by Nuru Karim, the terminal incorporates Assam's kopou phool and bamboo, winning an International Architecture Award.
• Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu, a 1.24 km extradosed PSC bridge over Brahmaputra, connects Guwahati with North Guwahati, reducing travel time to seven minutes.
