Delhi Deploys Finnish Dredger in Najafgarh Drain to Combat Yamuna Pollution
- •Delhi government deployed an 8 crore Finnish-made amphibious dredger in the Najafgarh drain.
- •The Najafgarh drain contributes nearly 70 percent of the Yamuna River's total pollution load.
- •Irrigation and Flood Control Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma inaugurated the dredger at Dulsiras village.
- •The dredger can remove 600 cubic metres of sludge per hour and operates in depths up to six metres.
