Moët, Jameson, Grey Goose to Get Cheaper: India-EU FTA Slashes Liquor Tariffs

• India and the European Union concluded a major Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in New Delhi, hailed as the "mother of all trade deals."
• The FTA will significantly reduce tariffs on alcoholic beverages, making premium brands like Moët, Jameson, and Grey Goose cheaper in India.
• Tariffs on premium wines will drop from 150% to 20%, mid-range wines to 30%, spirits to 40%, and beer to 50%.
• The agreement aims to eliminate or reduce tariffs on 96.6% of traded goods by value, expecting to double EU exports to India by 2032.
