Anti-India Hasnat Abdullah Wins Bangladesh Election; Jamaat Ameer Also Victorious

• Hasnat Abdullah, known for anti-India sentiments and threats to separate 'Seven Sisters', won the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency.
• Abdullah, chief organizer of NCP, secured 166,583 votes, defeating BNP-backed Jashim Uddin who received 49,885 votes.
• The victory was part of a few seats won by the Jamaat-NCP alliance in Bangladesh's 13th National Parliament Election.
• Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, also won in Dhaka-15 constituency with 85,131 votes.
• Jamaat alleged manipulation of election results for the Dhaka-15 constituency despite their leader's win.
