• Aruna Bhasin, originally from Delhi, became Palamu's first beautician, establishing 'Roopayan Beauty Parlour' in 1989.
• She moved to Palamu after marrying Prem Bhasin in 1984 and identified a local need for beauty services.
• With her husband's support, she trained under world-renowned beautician Shahnaz Husain in Delhi in 1988.
• Despite social and family constraints, she started the parlor from her in-laws' home, facing initial challenges and low service prices.
• Her initiative not only launched a business but also opened new opportunities and built confidence for women in Palamu.
