• Arshad Sami Khan participated in the 1965 Indo-Pak war, allegedly bombing Indian borders and destroying parts of the Pathankot airbase.
• He flew 61 hours and 15 minutes of combat missions in the 1965 war, the most by any PAF pilot.
• Later, Arshad Sami Khan became a diplomat, serving as ADC to three Pakistani presidents and ambassador to several countries, also authoring a book on his war experiences.
