•Bakarkhani, a traditional bread, is a popular and essential dish for Sehri during the holy month of Ramadan.
•Believed to originate in Bangladesh, it's now widely loved across Indian cities, with Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, being a prominent hub.
•Prepared in hot, often wood-fired ovens, giving it a unique and special taste, a tradition maintained for nearly 100 years.
•Golden Bakery on Jama Masjid Road, Hazaribagh, produces about one quintal daily, supplying to Giridih, Ramgarh, and Koderma.
•Made from maida, yeast, oil, water, filled with mawa, coconut, and dry fruits, then baked at 180°C; prices range from 10 to 120 rupees.
