Shivangi Singh: From Banaras Lanes to India's First Female Rafale Pilot

Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, a Varanasi native, is India's first female Rafale pilot, inspiring many on Women's Day.
•
Her dream began at age 9 after visiting the Air Force Museum, leading her from Banaras Hindu University to the Indian Air Force.
•
Joined IAF in 2017, commissioned in the second batch of women fighter pilots, and previously flew the challenging MiG-21 Bison.
•
Selected for the Rafale squadron 'Golden Arrows' in 2020 after rigorous training, making history as the first woman to fly the advanced jet.
•
Shivangi's next ambition is to become an astronaut and join India's 'manned space mission' (Gaganyaan), aiming for new heights.
