Lucknow-Bhopal in 7 Hours: Bundelkhand Gets Superfast Expressway, Halving Travel Time

• NHAI's new access-controlled greenfield expressway will cut Lucknow-Bhopal travel time from 12-14 hours to 7 hours.
• The 118 km Kanpur to Kabrai (Mahoba) section, part of the Bharatmala Project, is estimated to cost ₹5,757 crore.
• The expressway will pass through Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Hamirpur, and Mahoba districts of UP, connecting to Sagar Highway in Bundelkhand.
• Planned industrial zones on both sides will boost economic and industrial development, creating investment and employment.
• The project aims to establish Kanpur as a major logistics and industrial hub, strengthening economic cooperation between Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
