Bengaluru Engineer's AI Fan Adjusts Speed Based on Sleeping Position

Pankaj, a Bengaluru software engineer, developed an AI-powered ceiling fan that automatically adjusts speed by reading his sleeping position.

Inspired by his own sleep problems, he created a system to avoid waking up either sweating or shivering.

The AI model uses MediaPipe pose detection on a Raspberry Pi to monitor body position via a camera.

If hands/feet extend outside the blanket, the fan turns on; if tucked in, it turns off, interpreting signs of heat or cold.
