Dola Sen Challenges EC in Supreme Court Over Voter List Deletions
•
TMC MP Dola Sen argued in the Supreme Court against the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in West Bengal.
•
Sen alleged that millions of eligible voters' names are being wrongly removed from the final voter list, undermining statutory authority.
•
She claimed micro-observers are overturning decisions of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and interfering with the ECINET portal.
•
Sen highlighted that over 7 lakh voter cases were put under 'review' by micro-observers between Feb 9-11, despite prior eligibility.
•
The final voter list for West Bengal is due Feb 28, and TMC views these deletions as a "direct threat to democracy".
